Overview

$45

Best for: Consumer lenders, auto finance operations, credit unions, receivables management firms, municipalities, healthcare billers, HOA and property managers — especially anyone who needs to disburse funds to a consumer's debit card as well as collect from it.

Strengths

  • + A public company with a twenty-year record and audited numbers you can read: full-year 2025 revenue of $309.3 million, Consumer Payments at $285.9 million and Business Payments at $48.4 million, and 2026 guidance of $340 to $346 million with adjusted EBITDA margins above 40%.
  • + Instant Funding is a real differentiator. Pushing loan proceeds or disbursements to an eligible Visa debit or prepaid card in real time through Visa Direct removes days from a lender's process and takes cheques out of it entirely.
  • + The payment channels fit the verticals it serves. Online portal, phone and IVR with an AI voice option, mobile app, text pay, click-to-pay and pay-by-link — this is how consumers in receivables, auto finance and municipal billing actually pay, rather than a checkout page.
  • + An A+ Better Business Bureau rating, accredited since 25 May 2018, on an entity in business since February 2006. That is a materially cleaner file than most companies in this sector carry.
  • + The AP automation side is scaling fast: a supplier network of more than 602,000 at the end of Q4 2025, up roughly 67% year on year, with virtual card rebates that reviewers describe as transparently accounted for.
  • + Distribution through software rather than sales calls. REPAY reported 294 software relationships at the end of Q4 2025, so for many clients the payment layer arrives already integrated into the system they run their business on.

Trade-offs

  • – No pricing is published at all — not a rate, not a per-transaction fee, not a monthly minimum. Every quote is negotiated privately, which puts a smaller client at a disadvantage they cannot measure.
  • – No standard merchant agreement is published either, so contract length, auto-renewal, termination rights and minimums are all invisible until you are deep in a sales process.
  • – 2025 was a bad year on paper, and the size of it deserves attention. Revenue of $309.3 million was down about 1% from $313.0 million, and REPAY recorded an impairment loss of roughly $242.7 million across the year — a write-down approaching four fifths of annual revenue — including $138.9 million in the fourth quarter alone against the Consumer Payments segment, attributed to a declining share price and changed valuation metrics. That is an accounting judgement rather than cash going out of the door, and adjusted EBITDA still came in at $128.6 million on a roughly 42% margin. But it is the company writing down the value of the segment that generates 92% of its revenue.
  • – Acquisition integration shows up in the complaints. Reviewers who became REPAY clients through an acquired business describe communication and support falling off after the transition, which is the standard risk of buying from a serial acquirer.
  • – Reporting limits irritate users: one recurring complaint is a 90-day ceiling on searching historical transaction data, and another is the inability to modify or cancel a scheduled payment once it is set.
  • – It is not for general merchants. There is no self-serve signup, no card-present retail story, and no reason for a shop or restaurant to be looking at this at all.

Fees in detail

  • Online rate: Not published. REPAY quotes per client and every pricing route on its site ends at a sales contact or a phone number. This is consistent wit
  • Disputes: Not published.
  • Contract: Not published. REPAY does not post a standard merchant agreement, and terms are negotiated per client — frequently alongside the software vendor whose system the payments sit inside. Treat contract length, auto-renewal, termination rights and any minimums as things you must extract in writing during the sales process, because none of them can be looked up.

Standard published rate for a domestic online card payment. Confirm current pricing on REPAY's pricing page.
