Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 2026

At Revmrr, we believe in radical transparency—not only in startup revenue metrics, but also in how we handle your privacy. This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use, why we use them, and how you can control them. We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell or monetize your browsing data.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used by web applications to maintain active sessions, remember your visual preferences, and ensure the platform operates securely and efficiently.

Similar storage technologies, such as browser local storage and session storage, may also be used to retain client-side UI states (such as active search filters or display preferences) directly on your device.

2. How We Use Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum and use them for four purposes:

  • Account Authentication & Security: Identifying you when you sign in to your founder or buyer dashboard, preventing unauthorized access, and guarding against CSRF attacks.
  • Platform Stability & Integrity: Ensuring legitimate traffic routing, rate limiting to avoid abuse, and verifying startup claim requests.
  • User Preferences: Storing interface choices like table view sorting and search parameters across page navigations.
  • Analytics & Site Improvement: Understanding, in aggregate, which pages are useful and where visitors run into problems, so we can improve Revmrr.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

Strictly Necessary

Required for sign-in, security and payments. The site cannot work properly without them, so they cannot be switched off in our systems.

Analytics

Help us understand how the site is used. They are only set if you accept them in the cookie banner, and rejecting them doesn't remove any features.

First-party

Set by Revmrr itself and readable only by Revmrr.

Third-party

Set by service providers we use, such as analytics and payments. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

4. Cookies Used on Revmrr

The table below lists the cookies used across Revmrr, grouped by purpose. Analytics cookies are only set on the live site.

CookieCategoryProviderDurationPurpose
Account sessionStrictly NecessaryRevmrr (First-party)Up to 30 daysHolds a random, server-validated session token that keeps you signed in to your dashboard so you can manage listings, verify revenue and edit your profile. It is HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it.

Site analyticsAnalyticsGoogle Analytics (Third-party)Up to 2 yearsCounts visits and page views and shows how visitors find and move through Revmrr, in aggregate, so we can improve the site.
Usage insightsAnalyticsMicrosoft Clarity (Third-party)1 day to 1 yearRecords clicks, scrolls and page interactions (including heatmaps and session replays) so we can spot broken or confusing pages.
CheckoutStrictly NecessaryDodo Payments (Third-party)Set by the providerSet by Dodo Payments' hosted checkout to process payments securely and prevent fraud. These apply only on the checkout pages.

5. Local Storage

Some preferences are kept in your browser's local storage instead of cookies. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers with each request:

  • Saved startups: Remembers the startups you bookmark while browsing, on this device only.
  • Dashboard layout: Remembers whether you collapsed the dashboard sidebar.
  • Cookie choice: Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don't ask on every visit.
  • Push notifications: If you turn on browser notifications, stores the device token used to deliver them. Turning notifications off removes it.

You can clear local storage at any time through your browser's site data settings.

6. What We Do NOT Do

Unlike many commercial platforms, Revmrr maintains a strict stance regarding user privacy:

No Invasive Ad Networks

We do not install third-party tracking pixels or ad retargeting cookies (like Meta Pixel or Google Remarketing).

No Cross-Site Profiling

We never sell, rent, or trade your activity logs or startup browsing habits with commercial data brokers.

No Card Data in Cookies

Payment details are handled by Dodo Payments' hosted checkout. We never store card numbers in cookies or on our servers.

No Passwords in Cookies

Session cookies hold only a random token. They contain no passwords, email addresses or other personal details.

7. Opting Out of Analytics

Analytics cookies are only set after you choose “Accept analytics” in the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; withdrawing consent deletes the analytics cookies. Blocking them does not affect any Revmrr features. You can also opt out in any of these ways:

  • Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Block third-party cookies, or cookies from google-analytics.com and clarity.ms, in your browser settings.
  • Use a privacy-focused browser or a reputable content-blocking extension.

To learn how these providers handle data, see the Google partner sites policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

8. How to Control and Delete Cookies

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their configuration settings. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or notify you whenever a cookie is being sent.

Please note that strictly necessary cookies are required for sign-in and security. Blocking them may prevent you from logging in, managing your startup listings, completing a checkout, or using other authenticated features on Revmrr. Signing out deletes your session cookie immediately.

9. Updates & Inquiries

We may periodically update this Cookie Policy to reflect new regulatory requirements or technical changes to our platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed, and updates take effect upon posting.

If you have questions or concerns about our use of cookies, please visit our Support & Contact page or review our Privacy Policy.
