Overview

2C2P is one of the most established ways to accept local payment methods across Southeast Asia through a single integration. It has more than two decades in the region, licences in Singapore and Thailand, and a payment-method list few rivals match, from Thai instalment plans to Indonesian and Philippine wallets and over-the-counter cash. That depth comes with enterprise-style terms. Prices are not published, settlement timing is whatever your proposal says, and the standard agreement auto-renews yearly, needs 90 days' notice to leave and lets 2C2P hold your money for up to 180 days after you stop processing. We grade it B- because the coverage is real, but a business owner cannot price it or judge its contract without a sales conversation, and the published terms lean heavily toward 2C2P.

Best for: Mid-size and enterprise merchants, especially travel, airlines, e-commerce and digital content, that need cards plus local wallets, QR, bank transfers, instalments or cash payments across several Southeast Asian countries through one integration and one provider, contracting with its local company in each market.

Strengths

  • + Very broad Southeast Asian payment coverage: 2C2P lists more than 400 methods, including local wallets, QR, bank transfers, instalments and cash at over 600,000 points
  • + One integration covers Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Hong Kong, though you contract with 2C2P's local company (or licensed partner) in each market
  • + Regulated: a Major Payment Institution licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Bank of Thailand licences for card acquiring, payment collection, e-money and electronic funds transfer, all current as of October 2026
  • + More than 20 years in the region, with deep experience in airlines and travel
  • + Backed by Ant International since 2022, with connections to Alipay+ wallets
  • + Published security credentials: PCI DSS Level 1, PCI 3DS, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and SOC 2 Type 2

Trade-offs

  • – No published rates for the main gateway. Pricing and settlement timing come only in a signed proposal
  • – One-year contract that renews automatically and needs 90 days' written notice to end
  • – 2C2P can withhold your funds for up to 180 days after termination or suspension, and can seize suspect transaction amounts even after settlement
  • – Monthly dormancy fee after six months without transactions: SGD 50, THB 200, MYR 50, HKD 50, PHP 300 or IDR 100,000, depending on the country
  • – Standard agreements outside Singapore set a minimum and maximum per transaction, for example THB 300 to 500,000 in Thailand and MYR 150 to 60,000 in Malaysia
  • – No self-serve sign-up: application form, risk assessment and approval before going live
