Overview

Zenoti is deep, enterprise-grade software for beauty, wellness and fitness businesses, and its payments are built into everything from booking deposits to staff tip payouts and franchise royalty splits. The weak points are cost visibility and the contract. Zenoti publishes neither its software prices nor its card rates, its standard terms renew automatically for a year with 60 days' notice to leave, and it can raise fees mid-term on 60 days' notice. In the US, Zenoti's help centre lists no payment gateway other than its own. We hold it at B-. The product and most user ratings are strong, but the pricing is opaque, the contract favours Zenoti, and the BBB rates it F.

Best for: Multi-location salon, spa, medspa and fitness brands and franchises that want one system for booking, checkout, memberships, payroll and reporting across locations, and that have the staff time to work through a substantial implementation.

Strengths

  • + Payments are built into booking, memberships, payroll and franchise royalties, with each payment split automatically between the business, its staff and its franchisor
  • + Next-business-day payouts are available in the US, for 0.03% more than the two-day schedule
  • + Built-in surcharge program that applies card-network caps and state rules automatically
  • + Multi-location and franchise depth, with customers in 50+ countries and local payment gateways supported outside North America
  • + Strong software ratings: 4.4 from 1,291 reviews on Capterra, with 4.6 for customer service, as of October 2026
  • + 24/7 support for all customers, according to Zenoti's pricing FAQ

Trade-offs

  • – No published prices for the software or for card processing; both are quoted per account
  • – In the US and Canada, Zenoti Payments is the only payment gateway Zenoti's help centre lists, so you cannot shop the card rate separately
  • – Auto-renewing one-year terms with 60 days' notice to leave, no mid-term exit for convenience, and fee increases allowed on 60 days' notice
  • – Zenoti can fund a reserve from your daily payouts and hold it for at least six months after you leave
  • – BBB rates it F, with nine complaints in three years, one published complaint unanswered, about sales promises, onboarding, refunds and software defects
  • – Reviewers describe a steep learning curve and a complex set-up
