Strengths
- + One flat 2.6% with no fixed per-transaction fee for every card type. Keyed cards, cards on file, online booking deposits and no-show fees cost the same as a tapped card, where Vagaro charges 3.5% + $0.19 and Fresha 2.79% + $0.20 or more for those.
- + No per-transaction fee makes small tickets cheap. A $30 service costs $0.78 to process, against $0.88 on Vagaro's small-merchant plan and $0.93 on Square's free plan in person.
- + Payouts are free and arrive the next business day, instant payouts are available for 1.8%, and refunds cost nothing because the processing fee is returned.

Trade-offs
- – The service record is poor. The BBB rates GlossGenius D- for failing to respond to 24 complaints and has logged 37 complaints in three years, and 2026 reviews on BBB and Trustpilot describe payouts held for re-verification with support unable to explain why.
- – A flat percentage with no fixed fee costs more on large tickets. Counting the per-transaction fee alone, Vagaro's large-merchant in-person rate is cheaper above about $61 a sale and Fresha's terminal rate above about $65, before Vagaro's $10 monthly plan fee and pass-throughs.
- – Chargeback protection covers only card-reader and Tap to Pay sales on Gold and Platinum. Cards on file, keyed cards, booking-site gift cards and BNPL are excluded, and the help center says cancellation-fee disputes are not covered either. Card-not-present payments generally carry more dispute risk than tapped cards.
- – The Payments Terms allow a discretionary reserve, a first-priority security interest in processed funds, bank-account debits for amounts owed and a personal guarantee, and the Terms of Service let fees change on 14 days' notice.
- – No free software plan, no interchange-plus option and no merchant ID of your own. The help center says only US-issued cards are accepted, while the Payments Terms say most non-US cards are.
