Overview

If you sell to shoppers in Saudi Arabia or the UAE, Tabby is the pay-later button many of them already expect. It calls itself the Middle East's largest provider and works with retailers including SHEIN, Amazon, IKEA, Jarir and noon. You get paid in full, Tabby takes the repayment and fraud risk once it approves a shopper, and plugins cover Shopify, Salla, Zid, WooCommerce and Magento 2. The grade stops at B- for four reasons. Tabby does not publish its commission rates, so you cannot compare costs before applying. Money arrives only weekly and each payout carries a fee. The contract gives Tabby wide room to hold your money: a reserve kept for 180 days or longer, 180-day withholding periods, and the right to keep a reserve permanently if it suspends you. And Trustpilot currently shows no rating for Tabby, citing a breach of its guidelines, and says it has removed fake reviews.

Best for: Registered online and in-store retailers in Saudi Arabia and the UAE selling mid-to-high ticket items such as fashion, electronics, furniture, beauty and travel to local shoppers, and able to wait a week for their money in return for guaranteed payment and higher basket sizes.

Strengths

  • + Describes itself as the Middle East's largest buy now, pay later provider, reporting 25 million registered users and 70,000 business partners in September 2026, so many Saudi and UAE shoppers already have an account
  • + You are paid in full regardless of whether the shopper repays, and Tabby carries fraud risk on transactions it authorises
  • + Regulated directly in both main markets: Saudi Central Bank BNPL licence (2025) and consumer and SME finance licences (2026), plus a UAE central bank Stored Value Facilities licence for its Tabby Cash wallet
  • + Plugins for the region's own platforms (Salla, Zid, Matjrah, ExpandCart) as well as Shopify, WooCommerce and Magento 2, plus payment links and in-store Tabby Card with no new hardware
  • + Free store and product listings in the Tabby app send shoppers to merchants who offer Tabby
  • + Either party can leave on 30 days' notice, with no early-termination fee in the published terms

Trade-offs

  • – No published commission rates: pricing is set per merchant by industry and profile, so you cannot compare costs before applying
  • – Payouts are weekly only, on Mondays, and each costs AED/SAR 6, or AED/SAR 25 when the payout is under AED/SAR 2,500
  • – Broad hold rights: a reserve held 180 days or longer (permanently if Tabby suspends you), 180-day settlement withholding, and suspension if your shoppers' overdue payments reach 5% of the month's payments for three months
  • – Refunds still cost you the fixed fee and part of the commission, and lost disputes are recovered from settlements without further notice
  • – Trustpilot shows no rating for Tabby, citing a breach of its guidelines and saying it removed fake reviews, and the 2,033 remaining reviews split sharply between five stars and one
