Overview

SMB Global appears to be a competent, small, well-regarded placer of hard-to-bank merchant accounts, and the reviewers who have actually dealt with it are consistently positive. But we could verify almost nothing about it independently: no published rates, no contract terms, no reserve policy, no BBB profile, no Trustpilot reviews, no About page, and third-party sources that disagree with each other and with the company's own site on basic facts. A clean record and an unverifiable one look identical from the outside. Treat it as a lead worth pursuing if you have been declined elsewhere, and do the diligence yourself.

Best for: Merchants who have already been declined or shut off by mainstream and mid-tier high-risk processors and need someone willing to shop multiple domestic and offshore acquirers on their behalf.

Strengths

  • + Genuinely broad underwriting appetite: its own industry pages name dropshipping, telemedicine, firearms and tobacco, nutraceuticals, online gaming, adult and dating, digital marketing, coaching products, MLM and direct sales, and travel — several of which are declined even by processors that call themselves high-risk.
  • + Places both domestic and offshore accounts and routes across multiple jurisdictions, which is the mechanism that lifts approval rates for merchants no single acquirer will take.
  • + Independent reviewers who have examined the company report finding no consumer complaints, no lawsuits and no FTC actions against it.
  • + Reviewers consistently single out customer service, and one rates the company 4 out of 5 overall — an unusual result for a shop this size in this category.
  • + Offers ACH and virtual check alongside cards, which for a high-risk merchant is often the more durable rail when card acceptance is interrupted.
  • + Underwriting is described as slow and paperwork-heavy — which reviewers frame, correctly, as a reason accounts placed this way are less likely to be shut off later.

Trade-offs

  • – Nothing is published. No rates, no monthly fee, no contract length, no early termination fee, no reserve policy — the site markets 'transparent pricing' while publishing no price at all.
  • – There is no About page, no company history, no leadership page and no postal address anywhere on the website. Founding year and headquarters had to be taken from third-party directories.
  • – SMB Global's own site claims 'No Rolling Reserves' with funds available immediately, while a long-standing industry reviewer states the company does impose a rolling reserve. We cannot resolve this, and it is the single most important commercial term in a high-risk agreement. Get the reserve terms in writing before you sign anything.
  • – Sources disagree on basic facts: the number of banking relationships (SMB Global says 15, a reviewer says over 20) and even the city (West Jordan or South Jordan, Utah, depending on who you read).
  • – No BBB profile and no BBB accreditation. There are also no Trustpilot reviews at all — its Trustpilot page is empty — and no Google or Yelp presence, so there is no independent customer record to check.
  • – The company is very small — third-party directories put it at roughly 8 to 10 employees — and its founder appears from public profiles to have moved on to another company, so we cannot say who currently runs it.
